Yea y'all nikkas hate receipts huh?
Makes being a disingenuous Fukking hypocrite really hard eh? :pachaha:

Yeah, but we don’t know what happened in his life for him to change his perspective. You can’t expect every person to have the same morals they were born with. People evolve & change based on experiences.

& yes, we go the hardest on each other with that. Instead of just saying, ok. The community isn’t in the position to pick and choose black ppl if we’re being honest.

If it wasn’t this type of music being promoted, it would be something else. Back when there was zero music about killing, and even in the 90s when you had a balance of positive and negative music, there were no black people saying we want more negative music. That’s simply what‘s being pushed to the masses. They could easily promote positive and uplifting music in the same manner and it would be a hit.

I listened to all types of ignorant azz shyt from about age 10 up until about age 35. But in-between all that I also had balance. The music was something that did not really exist in a big way prior to 1988. So it was like something we could wear but take off at inappropriate times. We knew it was just entertainment. But when the requirements changed to having to actually be what you rap about is when it really got fukked up. We knew NWA and them were just telling stories. It was no different than Richard Pryor telling fukked up stories on his albums. But somewhere along the lines the shyt got blurred and the kids after us have no context of what this shyt really is. Then a rapper gets shot and survives and now he's the most anticipated. They always cite stuff like well 2Pac got shot went to jail and blew up. Or he busted at two cops. But they never take in the circumstances that led to that.

The same nikkas agreeing with this are also against gun control btw
Not true. I'm for gun control and I agree with every thing Lakeith said. If you're thinking one cannot be a progressive and critique the damage a lot of rap music is doing you're wrong.
