this would be odd for several reasons imo with kobe's age and injury history his game is more suited to him being a small forward moving forward

Am I the only one that doesn't want him unless we can get another star to go alongside him? Melo has always been the type of nikka i hate. There's a reason he likes Kidd so much and that's because he has a lot of shyt in common with him. Always forcing shyt and not being patient. That power move to the Knicks, that caused them to loss all their best assets to secure another star, because he didnt want to risk losing some money in free agency was some of the dumbest shyt ive seen in sports from a guy that wants to "contend". He might have some HELP in NY already had it not been for that dumbass move and I dont see him liking the Lakers much better if we cant get another star to compliment him.
And be real nikkas, we dont have the same Kobe/Pau that we had 3 years ago. Those legs are tired and old and dont care for playing elite defense no more, at least not on every possession/every game, I know Kobe can still lock down but we need a far better rim protector/defenders if we want to actually compete as defense is still what brings championships and defense is exactly what Melo wont be bringing to LA.
