Serious question for Laker fans: Do you honestly believe Dwight will stay in LA?

And please answer with your brains and not your hearts.

:manny: Its been reported that if Mitch was forced to choose between Kobe or Dwight, he would roll with Dwight. Mitch has said all the right things and everything points to the Lakers building around Dwight. Money wise, Dwight would stay, plus the Lakers have his birds rights too if I'm not mistaken. After this season, I'm sure the Lakers will trade Pau, and completely build around Dwight, and the Lakers will have a shyt load of cap space in 2014 too. But, honestly, if Dwight doesn't resign, on the bright side, we clear up cap space and if still have Pau that can play center still than. :yeshrug:

:childplease: They are 0-2 against LAL this year (excluding tonight).

Yes, I know that.

My point is that State has looked like the better team even in defeat. Lakers may have one of the best players in NBA history, but I don't recall him ever struggling against State to keep his team afloat.

Mark Cuban already gave Mitch the solution. Basketball-wise, it's a no brainer. Plus it clears all the stans out.

It's 29 teams in the NBA this year, GOAT franchise on vacation and sent out a shytty ass d-league team with an old Kobe as official team representative. Instead of the Greatest Show on Earth nikkaz gotta watch re-runs of All My fukkery. :beli:

nah bruh, we have Nash, Kobe, Pau, Howard and some decent 3 point shooters.

The team shouldn't be this bad. All these guys are accustomed to their team's offense running through them. And out of all them, Nash, Howard are the only one who have been willing to sacrifice glory to win.

Nash did the right thing in becoming a spot of shooter since this asset was most needed by the team.

Howard resigned himself to playing defense and rebounding.

pau was injured but we know he'd sacrifice for the team.

Kobe is the only one who hasn't been willing to sacrifice personal glory for the team. He's done it for short stretches, never for the whole season. And as a leader of the team, he has to be the one who's most willing to do that....KG did it Boston, Duncan did it for Spurs ::beli:
Wade was leader of the Heat. Lebron never came and said publicly that its his team even though Lebron is the best player on the Heat. Wade came to that decision himself and did whats best for the team. Regardless of all the :flabbynsick: jokes i have made of Wade, :salute: to what that nicca did.

:stopitslime: Yes, because the Warriors were still the better team while getting destroyed by the LAkers the first time, and losing in crunch time to the Lakers a 2nd time, while having a huge lead in the 4th??? Come on breh, the Warriors were the laughing stock in the league for the longest time, but they have been good this season now.

Pray that Kobe, Nash, Gasol, Artest all retire in 2014. Then go all in for Lebron James.

Dantoni, Mitch and Jim Buss all need to go too.

How about I pray, Pau tears his ACL and MCL. He's been practicing medicine so he can use that opportunity to fix himself. I pray that Artest signs up for celebrity diving and he hits his head on the diving board and is unconscious until his contract expires. I pray that Nash goes skiing in Vancouver and there's an avalanche and he's stuck under it for 2 more seasons.

Blasphemy to even THINK about the Lakers getting rid of Kobe in order to keep Dwight Howard.

That's not even a good business decision....let alone a basketball decision.

first off, it is a logical basketball and business decision. we fans are fickle, as soon as lakers start winning again we would forget about it :heh:

I am not saying lakers should do it. I am saying that it is a possibility that it might happen so be prepare for it. :yeshrug:

shyt will hit the fan once the off-season starts. A lot of heads will roll...

It's not a good business decision to trade away one of the most known basketball players in the world (LeBron the only other household name on his level), who STILL has the 3rd highest jersey sales in the NBA after 17 years, and sells out arenas game by game (whether at home or on the road), for a young Center who cant produce half as most interest in the casual basketball fan.

The Lakers wouldnt do that. Too much money would be lost in merchandise/ticket sales/TV ratings
