It's not a good business decision to trade away one of the most known basketball players in the world (LeBron the only other household name on his level), who STILL has the 3rd highest jersey sales in the NBA after 17 years, and sells out arenas game by game (whether at home or on the road), for a young Center who cant produce half as most interest in the casual basketball fan.

The Lakers wouldnt do that. Too much money would be lost in merchandise/ticket sales/TV ratings

nikkaz really buy into that amnesty Kobe hype. He makes way more for the Lakers than they pay him in comparison. They'd be better off letting Kobe retire with the cap space in 2014 to be players in the big free agency pool of that year.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
In this shytty draft they better be buying picks up like there's no tomorrow. They need as much youth as possible and try to move Pau this summer, if the Raptors will take him for Bargnani, you have to entertain it even with how garbage Bargs has been.

I'd buy a couple picks, trade Pau, and amnesty Artest this summer.

Lakers are worth a billion dollars. THey have signed a lucrative tv deal.

so they will get a steady stream of revenue regardless if kobe is on the team or not. again i am not saying to amnesty kobe, just that its something that the lakers will think hard about.
remember Jim Buss is runnin' things now

lol, Gasol is gettin $19 mil as we speak and nikkaz talkin bout Kobe. It'd be a different tune being sung if there was youth and talent surrounding him.

That's exactly what should be done.........and that's why Jim Buss isnt going to do it:snoop:

They're gonna stand pat on the "2014 plan" and we are gonna be even worse next year with no Earl Clark

:usure:IF DWIGHT RE-SIGNS,
THE LAKERS WILL BE PAYING ABOUT 80 MILLION DOLLARS IN LUXURY TAX MONEY NEXT SEASON...
IF THEY AMNESTY KOBE, THEY WILL AVOID THE LUXURY TAX HIT.

It's one season. As stupid as the braintrust of this team has become I wouldn't be surprised. Dwight isn't the nikka to build around which makes this all the more funny.

:ehh: The Wolves have been linked for a while to Pau. Derrick Williams & filler for Pau has been linked. Wolves want to match Love up with Pau, plus with Rubio. Pek might get a max contract else where. I keep hoping they fukk around and get Kevin Love. :yeshrug: That's really it. Maybe Danny Granger??? Highly doubtful, David West will probably re-sign. The Wolves seem like the only team out there. Plus, Pau having 1 year expiring contract might be somewhat attractive I suppose. Maybe an Andrea fukking Bargnani trade? :russ: Dwight and shooters? :beli:
