Anybody with sense knew that not extending Bron was the right move.
We are two weeks in and the Lakers look good.
Need a larger sample size, but this bodes well for the future without Bron.
All of these things are true and none of these should be a negative spin on Bron. The motherfukker is OLD.
I've advocated for a few years now for the Lakers to cut bait. They didn't do it, because the plan all along was to let this shyt expire after this season. I would not even think about re-signing him unless he agrees for next year to be his last year----->its well past time to turn the page into a new Laker era and they have obviously started that process.
Unless he wants the 1-year deal as his last season to retire a Laker, there should be no conversation to re-sign him.
With that said, he is the main factor in restoring relevancy to the Lakers in the last 7 years and if they can end this era with another title, it'll make it that much sweeter.
