Harden was a RFA. He couldnt go anywhere, and would have signed that 56m. If anything, match it, then trade him. They had him for one more season at the cheap price, and were coming off a Finals trip. You run that back. You don't trade it for garbage you could have got at the All Star BreakHow is this heading into his 3rd season with the Rockets since being traded & you guys keep still don't get it.
They were willing to pay the tax to keep Harden, they offered him $56M. He wanted nothing less than the max & got moved. This $29M in profit wouldn't be that much if Harden was still here & they were paying the tax. Half the reason that number is so high is because we still haven't broken into the tax.
How is this heading into his 3rd season with the Rockets since being traded & you guys keep still don't get it.
