I still can't believe they haven't put a Bynum for Williams offer on the table for the Nets. They need someone who can create besides Kobe and it's a point guard driven league now.

As for that rumored Beasley/Hill swap, fukk that. Hill was terrific for them and you always need one of those high energy bigs off the bench.

Probably because Deron Williams is a free agent and there's really no point to an offer they can't make.

I agree on Beas. Keep Hill. All I want is a 2015 first round pick.

*checks when Kobe's deal expires*

Yeah, 2015 first unprotected :leostare:

fixed

not falling for this mess every year :snooze:

The Beasley talk is pretty legit. He'll be there.

Not so much worried about D-Will, but if they can't get Dwight, they shouldn't make any moves

Beasley on this team doesn't change much. I wish the Pau/Metta for 3rd/Ariza and Blatche deal was true. We need to change the culture of this team. Too fukking old

They have to make SOME moves, just not a blockbuster one.

The Lack of outside shooting has always been a problem, but these past few years it's seriously been hurting this team.

As I said before it's not a coincidence that when the outside shots have fallen for the Lakers they've looked dominant.

:manny: That's true for everybody though. Outside shots are how Mavs won the championship, and not makin' em is why they looked so average this year. I think Sessions just needed some more time to gel with the team. If they can't get D-Will or Beasley, I don't see any trades that will make them better.

Sessions is a good player and an upgrade at the point over Fish, but like I said his biggest flaw is the thing the Lakers need the most.

Sessions is only and effective scorer by driving to the basket and using that floater, problem is his outside shot was so bad everbody would just play off of him the same way people do Rondo, only it was worse because Sessions wouldn't even attempt to take shots, he'd just freeze up for a second then drive to the basket looking to pass.

The difference between the Mavs and Lakers is that that Mavs have mainly been a jump shooting team in the Dirk era. The Lakers have ELITE interior players, but they're rendered ineffective because the defense collapses on them and there's nobody to kick the ball out to for the 3.

Why are Lakers fans worried about Dwight not re-signing in a Gasol/Bynum trade? The worst case scenario is he leaves and two behemoth contracts are cleared off the books. Is Kobe having a chance to win more important than the long term health of the franchise?

:shaq2:

lakers don't have anyone signed past 2014. long term health is fine, salary wise.

But at the status quo, the next two years look pretty :flabbynsick:

A Dwight trade would either give them their next superstar or it would allow them to start the rebuilding process at least a year earlier.
