The Buss kids have no other income then being a Lakers owner. Which is why paying into the luxury tax or spending heavy $$ won't happen like with other owners

Im not the biggest Jeanie fan but this whole narrative that she or her siblings are too cheap to own/run the team is bullshyt. The Lakers and Buss family have ALWAYS operated this way. They've ALWAYS been willing to pay top dollar for contending squads while also being conservative with the luxury tax.



The Lakers let Trevor Ariza walk after the 09 title because of luxury tax implications. We signed MWP for the mid level exception instead.
