Jaydawg has said for years it’s already a done deal that Bron is taking a pay cut to stay

Because I’m actually smart and can understand the salary cap lol

Lebron is probably gonna take 15-20 mil no matter where he goes next year. I’ve been saying that for the past 2 offseasons that this past contract was his last big one

The apron rules don’t allow people to go crazy over the cap like they used to. It’s why the Cavs could only offer him a vet min, and why if they wanted to offer him a NTMLE they’d have to shed something like $45 mil in cap space cause they are a 2nd apron team

LA is stuck between a rock and a hard place because this batch of FA are ass, and Lebron and Reaves are frankly the 2 best available.

Lebron taking less pays for Reaves, potential of Rui if he’s not traded, allows to pick up other 3&D wings on the open market while keeping the best 4 in FA on a major discount (Lebron) and adding depth.

What they’d have to do is either have Lebron rescind his bird rights, or sign ASAP I believe in order to not have such a big cap hold in FA

he shouldn't have an issue taking a pay cut going on 42 years old, whether he stays in lakers jersey or goes elsewhere.

lakers have much bigger concerns though. luka going on 27 and has a lot of work to do. dude is playing year round and that needs to stop. reeves, a legit big man, winning a title in the west? with bron taking a pay cut or possibly leaving...gonna be a tough road ahead.
