The Los Angeles Lakers will honor Pat Riley with the unveiling of a statue during a ceremony on February 22.

The Lakers are scheduled to play the Celtics that night.

Riley will join the likes of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson and Kobe Bryant with a bronze statue in Star Plaza.

Riley won four NBA titles while coaching the Lakers from 1981 to 1990 during their "Showtime" era.

Riley had a record of 533-194 as coach of the Lakers and won 102 playoff games over nine seasons.

The Lakers won 50 games in each of Riley's nine seasons as head coach.

Riley also won the NBA title as a player for the Lakers in the 1971-72 season.

Riley before Phil is interesting. Phil won 5 titles to Riley’s 4 and actually 3peated.

Pat was there a lot earlier. He also has 5 Lakers titles, he won a title as a player for the Lakers in 72’.
