They got a small shot vs the Hornets on the 9th, if they don't get it there their next best chance is the Pelicans on the 12th, if they can't catch the Pelicans they won't see the Wolves until Nov 28th

Their schedule is brutal

They should have traded Dwight when he wouldn't re-sign
They should have moved Pau last year
They never should have re-signed Hill
Their reluctance to pull the trigger on those two moves and giving Jordan Hill $9 mill a year is why they are where they are![]()

1) Dirk's the same age as Kobe and at WORST equally effective in 2014.Jim Buss
Imagine what could be in LA if we had competent ownership/management. Dallas with Dirk who is a more aged and less effective player than Kobe by far, yet they are once again the team nobody wants to play in the West![]()

How bout if I told you it was sealed IMO when they wouldn't deal Pau for Gragic/Lowry and Scola
When they fukked up on that I knew what kind of idiots we're running the show. When they didn't dump Coward in Feb I wasn't stunned I knew he was gonna shyt on the Lakers. The whole Nash deal was mind boggling (in retrospect). The D'antoni hire was like the final nail in the coffin for the Kobe Era![]()
1) Dirk's the same age as Kobe and at WORST equally effective in 2014.
2) Dirk also took way less money than he could have, enabling Dallas to have the flexibility to go get talent. And he has a rep as a guy you wanna play with. He and Kobe are essentially opposites in these two aspects and those differences are gonna be reflected in the respective seasons their teams are gonna have this year.![]()
) If they managed him and put players around him like Dirk maybe he wouldn't have played all those minutes. They could have recovered from that situation with Houston though, they've just made terrible moves since then. Their position was not much different than the Mavs, it's just that they were horribly mismanaged and losing Dwight for nothing at all was the death blow.
He got thoroughly outplayed last night by that guy yall hate
2. So essentially you're arguing that players dont really care who they play with?1. I'm talking about both player on their declines and their effectiveness during that period. Kobe in 2013 before the injury was playing some of his best ball and putting up top 5 player stats (sometimes stats dont lie) If they managed him and put players around him like Dirk maybe he wouldn't have played all those minutes.
2. Kobe's contract is obviously gigantic but it's not accurate to say that it is even a top 5 factor in the current woes of the Lakers. Whether players want to play with Kobe or not (who knows?), the fact of the matter is players want to play for strong teams, and a team coached by D'antoni for that long with no sense of direction is not going to attract FA's. I don't care if nice guy Dirk is the centerpiece. Dirk being "nice" has less draw than Cuban as an owner, great fans and the brilliant coach Carlisle
That's not the #1 factor, really? Nah, players are more worried about the owner of the team, right? And Mark Cuban, yeah he's been super popular lately
Lakers aint got great fans?
) it was obvious that it was gonna play out this way from the beginning. This is exactly how he should go out. This is what he signed up for when he took a super max deal when the only guys on his roster were aKobe shouldn't have to go out like this![]()
Steve Nash and Robert Sacre. So 32 points while taking the 4th quarter off in a blowout win is not playing well?Neither one of them played well
And harden shot 6-18 tonight so what's your point Breh?
Kobe gets graded on a curve because he'sSo 32 points while taking the 4th quarter off in a blowout win is not playing well?
But 31 points in a blowout loss means Kobe is the best?
Lol interesting stuff

Players mostly want to win. When they start winning together they become best friends. Word to Chris Bosh.2. Im not saying Kobe was wrong for taking all that money but the shyt was pretty much a done deal when he did. Cant have your cake and eat it too. And as much as Laker fans tried to convince themselves they would still somehow be competitive (only to do a typical 180 as soon as the season started) it was obvious that it was gonna play out this way from the beginning.
1. Yeah D'Antoni's the WOAT. So nah it didnt matter who else the Lakers had got on the team, Pringles was still gonna play 6-7 guys and run em into the ground.
So 32 points while taking the 4th quarter off in a blowout win is not playing well?

Lol at the spin attempt. Based on what you've said you have higher expectations for James Harden.Has harden shot well from the field yet?
Scoring 32 against a d league team in kobes first game back is a big deal to a Suns fan I guess....but when you're a fan of a guy like kobe you have higher expectations because you've consistently witnessed so much better
Nobody wants to watch harden shoot twenty free throws a night
For others of course
Not Bean.
