My hobby is amateur boxing. I actually have a fight this saturday coming up. It will be my 9th fight. My record is 6wins 2losses in 8 fights so far. This should give me confidence but I think my problem is some chemical imbalance in my brain.

Has anybody read Mark Ames' "Going Postal"? In it, Ames argues that rampage shooters aren't psychopaths, that they're deliberately attacking something as a response and it all has to do with the culture, particularly the post-Reagan dominant cultural lies. I think looking at this as an issue about the lack of masculinity, that he would have been fine if he had some sort of masculine influence or if he "didn't look like a dyke" or whatever, is missing the point. The pressure to be masculine and what masculinity is defined as isn't something that can be ignored.

At father's house, we watched the movie Alpha Dog after dinner one night.
