somebody in the first or second page posted a video where u can see him at the red carpet of the premier of hunger games with his father. the body language between his dad, his dad's girlfriend, and him speaks a thousand words. a good dad would have had an arm around him as if to say proudly "here is my son". no instead the father is walking ahead of him with his girlfriend and kind of leaving him behind. elliot himself looks so fukking awkward and uncomfortable and pale and nervous. all this kid needed was some parents who cared but it seems like his love and affection was purchased with money and cars.

Yes, he had ain't worth shyt father. And that's not being discussed; what you point out is being lost in all the politicizing. It's sad. Be there for your son, save lives.

Cultural environment, "norms" and upbringing has so much to do with stuff like this, but it's hardly ever addressed when stuff of this nature happens. There's a reason why we shyt on other countries in terms of Mass murder caused by induced rage of feeling like an outcast.

Internet culture and social media (to me...defined by the selfie and access to cheap technology) is leading to immense levels of narcissism. And sadly, I agree with you. There will be no end to this and it will continue to happen.

By, the way, found this on another site from somebody. Apparently, his friend went to high school with Elliot, and wrote a status about him. I guess this is what he had to say about it

Let me give you guys a debriefing of his life in high school. He had
Aspergers and was prone to emotional outbursts especially when people
touched him or got to close. He could barely speak, he had a massive
stutter. He was literally chased down the hallways by people. He was
afraid of or didn't like skateboards and people would constantly try and
get him to ride one or taunt him with it. I wont forget the time he was
stuffed into a locker and the door was closed on him, he was a petite
kid.

So when some people say this is strictly misogyny or lets blame misogyny
mostly, they are misinformed. I was there when he was mistreated. All my
friends are regretting not doing more to help him on my current fb
status. I would say this is very very much related to mental illness/
depression. He was always victimized and his size and attitude made it
easy for people. It got so bad he left the school and I have no doubt in
my mind, he was victimized at his next school, because of his outburst
and personality. His social life was beyond poor when he spoke to me
about it. So from my perspective, yes to misogyny but there was a deeper
underlying issue....depression/ mental illness
