I remember when I used to be shy and awkward around girls and never got no play. In my opinion the racial self hatred was a VERY VERY small part of why he became the way he was. His feelings of not being cool or accepted is what really sparked everything and his insistence on placing his self worth on getting girls.

I see some of you all view calling him mentally ill as some sort of cop out, deflection or to somehow lessen the evil he has committed, to me, it's just a matter of fact. This guy was mentally fukked up, and then did really fukked up shyt. It doesn't make my perception of him any more positive. Hitler was also mentally disturbed and fukked up. These types of killings are vastly different than crimes of passion or motives such as robbery or revenge for a physical altercation or something. We have a huge mental illness problem in this country, and everyone keeps ignoring it.

Anything outside of the "norm" is seen as mental illness, when in reality the human experience is VASTLY more diverse than what can be ascribed to it.

Yeah, perhaps you're right. I just think it was another thing he blamed not fitting in on because he actually did "become cool" for a short period of time in middle school (its in his manifesto). His problem was that he wanted to be IDENTICAL to the "cool crowd".
