Because you have more and more front offices hiring non-players to run their organizations and continue in the decision making. They don't understand the human element and lockerroom dynamic. Can't just treat players like growth stocks in an investment portfolio. Young guys gotta learn how to be men and pros, and the OG's should be on a squad to provide mentorship. Haslem in Miami dinner created a pre-retirement retirement plan by being the ambassador for heat culture in the lockerroom.
