damn shame lance never got the wcw world title
his run was fire, and considering all the people that got hot potatoed the strap tje fact he never got it but russo did is just another reason why wcw died
It was pretty dope that Lance held the Hardcore, Cruiserweight and US titles at the same time. Back in NWA/WCW being the US Champ meant you were the number 1 contender for the World title. Lance actually challenged Booker for the World title while he held those three titles but didn't win.
Too bad WCW was already on the downhill at that point so his title achievement didn't seem to mean as much.
Gotta respect Storm though. He saw how dangerous chairshots to the head can be
Q: What was up with your two incredibly weak chair shots on RVD at Barely Legal? I thought you did it to make yourself look inept at hardcore wrestling.
A: I just didn’t believe in giving people concussions. I was ahead of my time.
Q: On a figure 4 weekly interview Don Callis mentioned how in ECW you told Heyman you would not take a chair shot from Balls Mahoney, is that correct? If so any reason a side from the fact you did not want him to cave your skull in?
A: After taking my first Balls chair shot I told Paul “If I have to take another Balls Mahoney Chair Shot, I quit!” I considered them extremely unsafe, and I was not willing to get injured to get someone else over.
^Ditto to both Test and D'Lo. Loved seeing Test come off the top with his elbow smash variation. And D'Lo was that dude in 98/99. I vividly remember him being the Euro-Continental champ at the time, but why was Debra with him? I don't remember what she was doing other than being with Jeff Jarrett and Owen Hart at the time.
Last I heard of him, Shane O'Mac broke his foot with a botched Van Terminator at a house show. Stopped watching but read up once in a blue moon and found out he died
We got word that Test suffered a foot injury, believed to be a break, at the Friday house show in Louisville, KY. Test teamed up with Chris Jericho and Christian to take on Rob Van Dam, Lance Storm and Shane McMahon in a Louisville Streetfight. The finish saw Shane do a Van Terminator on Test and that is where the injury occurred, from the impact of Shane's move.
