In this episode of Roy Houdini, Lance becomes a Hornet:duck:

Exactly. Which is why I don't understand how dudes are running with this 'Chicago could have signed him for $9m' idea.
Worked out better for both, Stephenson can play sf but he be playing sf in the west and he's a more natural two. Parsons was a better fit for dallas and Stephenson a better fit for charlotte. Charlotte defense is going be crazy and they were already a great defensive unit. This might've been the most appropriate concise signing of the summer. It's just such a good and integration into a system that suits the player and system. Stephenson will really compliment that team well. There will be no defensive drop off and he bring a much needed offensive punch to that team. This is much better for the hornets than signing Hayward.

Charlotte is getting better and better, they are formidable, but they still don't have a true defensive anchor yet (Vonleh tbd) and that might hurt them.

its weird

I never expected a McBob/Big Al frontline to have Charlotte in the top 5 of defense last year.

They had a lot of perimeter guys who worked hard every night guarding the best scorers but besides the occasional Biyombo sighting its not like they have a lot of shot blocking

Yes. They have great scoring on the perimeter in Kemba and Lance, down low they have Jefferson, they just added shooting with Stauskas, they have great perimeter defense and a few veterans to do work off the bench. It's the blueprint for a extremely solid team. At worst, they'll be the Denver Nuggets of the East (while George Karl was still there)

Right, but as far as their ceiling is concerned I don't think they make it deep into the playoffs without a true anchor. You kind of need that if you're going to try to contain guys like Kyrie, LeBron, PG, *hopefully* Rose and Wall.
