George Hill got thisLOL @ the pacers
who's gonna be their playmaker now? paul "jab step into long jumper" george?
So he left indy over 200 more a year? Wow. Not only that this is a bad contract 2 years with a team option for 3rd wow
He took this deal because it's a three-year deal with a last year t/option. Why would he go for $8.8m for 5 years in Indiana, when he can go for 2/3 and have the opportunity to get more?
Why would he want to lock himself into a 5-year deal at that price (with a 7.5% salary cap rise in one season), in a place that he wasn't happy in? Regardless, Morey not matching Parsons' deal took his price down, else it would have been Dallas/Charlotte bidding against each other.I'm sure Indiana would have come to some kind of agreement with him if 3 years was all he was looking for. Three years would actually work quite well for Indiana as well, lets remember Stephenson isn't exactly certified as an elite player just yet. Lance just didn't want Indy, stop sugar coating.
This could only be it.
No other rational reason why he would leave a contender to an 8th seed team for just 200k extra per year.
Now east has got a lot better, Indy, Chicago, Miami, Cleveland, Nets, Wizards, Hornets, 76ers makes a solid conference come playoffs.
Can't 3rd is a team optionguess he thinks he's gonna re-up for the max in 2 years like lebron when the new TV deal kicks in.
Probably over a game of pool with MJ
