The problem is not the amount of police and their funding. It's their backing. A person that lives there was basically telling me how they won't prosecute anyone doing certain crimes, so even if the police were to apprehend them, the criminal would get away with very little repercussion.

this initiative had been b*stardized and co-opted by idiots. Defunding the police was never about getting rid of the police force. It was about re-allocating resources. I’m still with that. Police budgets are massive and there are some changes that should be made in his thry police certain situations.
