AADOS point of contention has always been that white society favors non-ados blacks over ados blacks and the article YOU posted confirms that. Whether Caribbeans or continental Africans are the more favored than the other has never been a question or concern for us. Both groups are non-ados.
Both groups are preferred over AADOS. Just as the report states. I don't know if you misread something in the article and rushed to post it thinking that it said that AADOS is preferred over continental African's(which is what I suspect), but unfortunately it only serves to further validate our claims.
Again the argument was Africans over ADOS follow that logic. I dont interact with Carribbeans and their experience vis a vis white Americans. I tend to speak on topics I am knowledgeable about or somewhat camn add value to the conversation.
The poster said that AFRICANS are getting picked over African Americans purely because of the fact they are AFRICANS. The article states that Carribbeans are being selected over both in terms of jobs or upward mobility within corporate America.
The same poster posted a thread about getting a job in a 85% plus hicktown yet comes to that conclusion. I almost guarantee you most of the 1.6 million Africans in the US tend to cluster around heavily metro politan areas in the US i.e DC/MD/ VA area, NYC/NJ, HOU area. Maybe Somali refugees in Minnesota are the only group of Africans I know in a "rural" part of the country. So i am betting his interactions with Africans is limited and in addition he doesnt have empirical evidence to back his claim
In addition, a lot of those who come here educated and with some sort of advanced degrees cant just pick up where they left homes because their qualifications do not translate in the US or as looked upon as lesser than then have to start tge education process from zero or relegated to the menial jobs they are overqualified for. Its even worse for those who come from non English speaking countries.
