I've always wondered why Bird didn't give coaching another shot. He was a very good coach and potentially a great coach. I would like to see him give it another shot eventually.

The traveling, conducting practices, etc....Too physically demanding. Even though being an executive isnt much easier...doesnt have to travel, and has a team of people who know what they are doing. IMO, I think they will come to him with ideas/ways to improve the roster....and he will either approve or nay what they bring him.


As for not having Granger for the season....its hard to say how it would have panned out. It definitely would have stunted the growth of Paul George.

Chauncey Billups is a free agent

I know he's old but he's a proven floor general and can knock down the 3 very well. The Mavs made it work with an old J Kidd in 2011.

if Chauncey is fully rebounded from the torn Achilles... It may work.

larry bird as a coach wuz underrated cuz u neva hear too much bout it. he has a great basketball mind & he did a hell of a job coachin da pacers to da finals , he deserve mo props for it fo sho!
