Based purely on the potential complete randomness of a basketball game Kentucky could possibly beat a pro team ONCE out of maybe 50 games, but it would have to be played under college rules, because over 48 minutes and with a 24 second clock they'd stand no chance. So I don't know how anybody, particularly this one idiot on here, could think a college team could survive over an 82 game schedule, much less make the playoffs, is beyond me. They might win four games on the season solely based on playing teams on their fourth game in five nights and sitting their starters and the backups not taking them seriously. I'm not sure Kentucky would even be that formidable in the NBDL to be honest. :yeshrug:

The fact that this is coming from Brown, a guy who coached in the League n was once a respected basketball mind, just proves to me that this nomadic old man who could never sit still for more than 4 or 5 years in one city has finally gone senile.

They may win 3 or 4 games, n that's prolly being a bit generous. Anyone who agrees w/ Brown is someone I can't take seriously from this point forward when discussing hoops.

man, the t-wolves or sixers would beat the brakes off the wildcats. and what if they faced the pistons? like drummond alone wouldn't be a one man wrecking crew against any college team.

U n1ggaz are too close minded. OSU can beat the Jags. At least last yrs version of the Jags. And they coulda beat the Texans w/ Fitzpatrick starting. :beli:

Strength would not be a factor on the oline and dline. Speed would not be a factor in the secondary or @ WR. They'd do it

The Chicago Charities College All-Star Game was a preseason American football game played annually (except in 1974) from 1934 to 1976 between the National Football League champions and a team of star college seniors from the previous year. It was also known as the College All-Star Football Classic.[1] After the Super Bowl began, including the two seasons prior to the NFL/AFL merger, the Super Bowl winner was the professional team involved, regardless of which league the team represented.

In the 42 College All-Star Games, the defending pro champions won 31, the All-Stars won nine, and two were ties, giving the collegians a .238 winning percentage.

It was a charity game though so who knows how serious it was played:manny:

Look, if you wanna say UK would be better than a collection of the scrubbiest NBA players, I'll listen

Would they make the playoffs? Hell no

Could OSU beat the Jags in football? Just STFU

Basketball is the only sport I will even entertain this college kids vs pros arguments, and it's still a stretch. But in football? The Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, etc could name the score against Ohio State. If they wanted to win 100-0 in a 60 minute game, they could.. Easily.
