if you mix all of the decent white forwards' talent in a bowl and created a player from all of their strengths they still wouldn't equal the player that bird was. So aside from Durant scoring, what else does he do to make him a strong MVP candidate? Larry can shoot, rebound, pass and defend....why could he not hang in todays league? What does Durant do that makes him so great in todays league and Bird a bench warmer 12th man ?

Bird wouldn't put up gaudy numbers. He'd have a lot more time driving and attacking because zone defenses and spacing is a lot better now.

He'd have to be a lot more refined in the post because back to the basket rules.
