if you mix all of the decent white forwards' talent in a bowl and created a player from all of their strengths they still wouldn't equal the player that bird was. Bird is probably the greatest white player to ever grace the game. Anyone thinking that dude wouldn't be a superstar in today's league is lying to themselves.

If dudes think he makes the hall of fame playing today then I got a river to sell you There is a reason why decent white perimeter players are few and between this era. Simply projecting what you remember him doing to the game the way its played today is lazy as fukk.

:laff::laff::laff::laff::laff: this was the exact gif I was looking for this dumb ass thread.

Why do 90s babies believe that this league now is leaps and bounds above the 80s/90s.

:scusthov::scusthov::scusthov::scusthov::scusthov::scusthov: look at the East, these super human cyborg athletic teams are straight doo doo status.

Larry Legend would be doing teams with no vaseline

What white player is better than him? If dirk is a HOF player where would you place bird.

So aside from Durant scoring, what else does he do to make him a strong MVP candidate? Larry can shoot, rebound, pass and defend....why could he not hang in todays league? What does Durant do that makes him so great in todays league and Bird a bench warmer 12th man ?

Bird wouldn't put up gaudy numbers. He'd have a lot more time driving and attacking because zone defenses and spacing is a lot better now.

He'd have to be a lot more refined in the post because back to the basket rules.

He'd still be great though. Top 3 player.

Gordon Hayward just scored 30.

This whole sequence is :banderas: the behind the back pass from bird, the left hand bounce pass from henderson and the left hand reverse

Scottie Pippen is an all-time great level defender, right?

So, Bird averaged 25.9ppg, 8.3rpg, 6.1apg on 50% & 45% from 3 against him in 14 games.

He'd be an all-time great in any era, dude's listed height is without shoes, in todays NBA he'd be listed at 6'10" or 6'11". We got Kevin Love given dudes 25 a night.....

:comeon: Pippen didn't make 1st team defense until birds last year in the nba. Before that pippen was a young player who was on the rise you're acting like bird faced a prime defensive pippen

you got random dudes in the NBA like spencer hawes averaging 16-10 on 50% shooting, I'm sure Larry Bird would be okay
