Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
And you are a biased cac :stopitslime:

I'm black, we aren't talking about Bob Cousy here you moron :birdman:

This whole sequence is :banderas: the behind the back pass from bird, the left hand bounce pass from henderson and the left hand reverse

:comeon: Pippen didn't make 1st team defense until birds last year in the nba. Before that pippen was a young player who was on the rise you're acting like bird faced a prime defensive pippen

So wait, you're not elite defensively until you make first team defense? He was a 25 year old all-star and 2nd team defense when a 30+ year old Larry was giving him that work. Larry had a 30pt game against him the year he made first team defense too, and Larry was 35 :ld:

Yea but you said 14 games.Out of those 14 at least half had to be when pippen was a skinny no confidence having pansy that use to get pushed around.Pippen peaked from 91-97 overall and especially defensively saying larry legend lit him up in his 1st 2 or so years in the nba is like saying kobe lit up a rookie/2nd year jimmy butler or kawhi leonard

and to me pippen is overrated I'm just being fair

Bird and he played until 92, so Bird still caught him at the start of his peak, and it's not exactly the same as Kawhi or Butler because neither has made all-defensive or an all-star game yet, where as Pip was already getting recognition for his defense when he and Larry were playing. Breh, it's more a point that an old Bird could play against & score on one of the best defenders ever, people in this thread are saying dudes are too athletic now for Bird to score on, when he went against the prototype for every defensive wing in the league now.

I get what you're sayin.Bird would be able to do his thing in the nba today easily especially the way the game is played now

fukk all of that "skills" shyt, Larry's attitude, competitive drive, work ethic, and confidence would translate to ANY era. He'd be competing for MVPs and titles in this era just like in his, depending on if he had legitimate teammates of course.

This.

This is the same guy who was :wtb: earlier in his career when the opposing coach would have a white guy guard him. It would legit piss him off

The same guy who walked into the locker room before the 3 point contest and said "who's finishing in second?" :mjpls: then won it with his warmup jacket on.

The same guy who played half of a game shooting with his left hand...cause he was bored.:wow:

And yall are saying he'd be a glorified Kyle Korver? :dahell:

Bold portion is untrue. I have no idea how this myth got started.

On the other hand, he would probably put up better numbers offensively today. With today's defensive restrictions, he would be putting up gaudy numbers.

Larry's man to man defense is not a myth. I didn't say dude was great or even very good, but he was a pesky defender 1 on 1, he only became a liability after he injured his foot and had a busted back in the 87-88 season if I'm not mistaken but all those years prior the Celtics were an upper level defensive team and even after they were top 15. Even after that he was decent.
