Pippen didn't make 1st team defense until birds last year in the nba.Before that pippen was a young player who was on the rise you're acting like bird faced a prime defensive pippen

You know Scottie P was balling defensively before 92....What about those pistons squads during the 80s...? That had Mahorn, Laimbeer, and eventually Rodman.. Bird wasn't dropping 26 and 8 on them..?

What I was saying was pippen wasn't the good/great defender he became YET So bird killin him wasn't a surprise he was solid on defense but not a player who anyone expected to contain to a 3x mvp and 9-10 year vet and I think bird would of thrived today I'm not taking nothing away from him.Now pippen in 92-97 vs prime bird woulda been a dope match up
