Oh bruh... you might wanna do some reading. I need to brush up myself. But most players in the negro league didn't wanna leave. They knew once a player left for the MLB, white folk would be able to shut down the negro leagues which they did. Then the majority of those black players who were on average better than the average MLB player. Well, they are the forgotten ones. They didn't get the opportunity Larry got.

Self inflicted wound. Black folks didn't even know the severity of what could happen.

Everyone ate good off of the negro leagues. All those black newspapers, all those black bars, black hotels, black vendors, black team owners who owned other businesses whether legal or illegal (such as numbers running or lottery as we call it today).

The death of the negro league just gutted a large portion of black business that never returned.
