Not going into to this with very high expectations. I used to be a huge fan, but now he's just become too generic for me. It was fun watching his come up and I’m happy for him though. He definitely got me through the pandemic.
I feel like same way. I want to support bro like I did before simply for the fact of how hard he puts on for Frisco. He got that early 90's Frisco vibe down pat. He shot hella videos in my old hood like "Organic Tokens".

But lately he's been giving off "I sold my soul" vibes. He seemed more humble and organic before. I can't put my finger on it. I know he signed with a major label recently. Might have something to do with it.

You know how it goes. nikkas get a lil' taste of mainstream $$$ and start losin' their way and get brand new. To an extent, da same happened to Curren$y.

Yeah, I think it's the label with their hands too much in his mix. He used to have that quirky but smooth norcal vibe, with a little mac dre'ish humor mixed in, but now he just comes off like he's a too cool for school, cookie cutter pimp with an investment portfolio. And bay cats ain't never been good at fitting in with the hollywood types lol. I wish he had just stuck to being himself, but that's the way the game goes, I guess.

These record labels are culture vultures and evil as fukk. Especially Empire who he signed to. Empire usually takes all the upcoming Bay artists and shelves their music and kills their careers. Lil Pete, SOB RBE. Those are just recent examples. And tragic things always happen to rappers signed to Empire. King Von, MO3, Young Dolph, Xxxtencacion... all signed to Empire. Weird evil coincidental shyt.

I seen Larry whole vibe switch up. Now he wearing all designer and in Europe like a cardboard cutout ATL or Miami rapper like Money Man or some shyt. More power to breh, I wish him the best, he put on for the Sco better than any rapper in the past few years and kept the vibe of my childhood in the city alive and pushed it to the masses.

Empire is putting the bag behind him now. I wanna say since Orange Print I noticed that they started marketing him heavy. Out the blue, I started getting Youtube ads for his videos and sponsored posts on Instagram from Larry's page and Empire. For someone whose whole brand is being organic that was weird to me but hey... if you feel you need that extra push, go ahead.... But he definitely has a machine behind him dictating his moves and fans are starting to notice the decline in quality.
