This has to be the most underrated movie Arnold has done. I don't care if the movie flopped, or that none of the movie's rules regarding the movie-in-the-movie-universe make any sense, shyt has too many classic scenes.

The way they introduce him by having him walk over cop cars. :mjlol:

"You want to be a farmer? Here's a couple of achers/acres". :russ:

The black Lt. immediately going "SLAAAAAATEEEER!" the second he sees him. You know damn well you were immediately reminded of all those trope characters. :krs:

All the dope action scenes directed by the gawd John McTiernan. :blessed:

That has to be the most underrated Arnie one-liner when he shoots the guy into the ice cream truck, which explodes and launches an ice cream cone into the back of another thug's head, and he goes: "I iced that guy, to cone a phrase." :laff:

The Hamlet parody:

"To be or not to be... NOT to be!" :ohlawd:

Then you've got Charles Dance's classic role as Benedict. The scene where he gets to the real world and explores its rules is so fukking brilliant.

"I just shot somebody, and I did it on purpose!" :dead:
"I said, I have just murdered a man and I want to confess!" :deadrose:
"HEY! Shut up down there!" :deadmanny:

And there's the ridiculous amount of cameo's. Tina Turner as the mayor in the opening Slater movie, Robert Patrick as the T-1000 walking out of the police station, Oddjob opening the door to the villain's mansion, Ian McKellen as Death from Bergman's The Seventh Seal, this movie needs to embraced more for all the fukkery.

Never saw this...and I remember when it came out in 93'

It was considered a flop back then though from what I can recall.

cosign OP. I used to love this movie as a kid. I guess the critics and media were waiting for arnold to finally flop and just pounced on this one.
- my favorite scene was when that bad guy was in the real world and shot a random person. And he was waiting for the police, or something to happen immediately like in the movies , and nobody gave a fukk :mjlol:

Movie is awesome. Loved it as a kid but more now because I get it. It's an awesome action hero satire. Funniest scene to me is when Arnold and Danny confront Benedict in his house:

"That was for blowing up my second cousin franks house" *punches him*
"This for blowing up my ex wife's house" *slaps him on the wrist*

Empire did a feature on the production of the movie last year and the aftermath. Really good read with interviews and insights
