Also is there still an argument for CD sound quality being superior etc to digital at this point?
I don't know if it is valid because my ear has become accustomed to 320kbps that spotify offers on a nice home system with Bluetooth or direct connection.

Dr Dre Compton for me.

Will be buying the new Face and Jay Rock as well.

Low key Spotify has stopped me from buying a lot of music though. As soon as I upgrade the car and get rid of the cd changer I'll probably stop buying physicals completely which is crazy considering I own a hundreds.

Last album was Special Effects - Tech N9ne. I will always cope a Tech cd but next on the list is the new Face album. I have a few artist which are always must haves. But when the kids are older I might graduate to collecting vinyl. Haven't decided yet.

You're right, people did say this when Apple came out. But this type of shift takes time. CD's came out in the early/mid 80's. But it wasn't until the mid 90's that they surpassed cassettes in sales.

IPods got things going, but they weren't something that was necessarily seen as a necessity. Plus you would have to learn how to use iTunes, and have access to a PC and broadband internet access, which many people didn't have.

IPhone and Android changed the game. Cell phones are pretty much a necessity already, and the demand for smart phones coupled with the cell phone companies pushing the shyt out of them due to data being extremely profitable made them evolve into a necessity. People can now buy and listen to music by pressing a button.

CD's and Vinyl are collectors items at this point. Just some shyt to get to show your hipster friends. There's no practicality involved in them.
Your on point im not going to argue to much ha I can see exactly what you mean by the phones and your right but if you're a fan wouldn't you buy the cd to see who produced what track vocal list if theres ghost writers etc you dont get half the information you just get tracks theres more to a album then just the tracks. Then theres sound quality you cant be real if you thinking it sounds better of your phone then cd or more to the extent vinyl? Then 2nd what happens to djs if they do stop selling vinyls? Djs is a major part of the art especially live shows? See if people actually brought drakes first or whatever album they would of noticed the ghostwriters and that so really then its the hipsters that are trying to preserve the art? Last question b don't you think since apple and digital cds are being released the quality of music is getting worse and the markets getting swamped by anyone with a computer? peace b classic name :salute:
