Last day in Dominican Republic. A few observations

1. The way Dominicans treat Haitians is fukked up. Prolly the wackest thing about this place and it has multiple layers of c00nery

2. Fine women all over. seemed to be willing to do anything to get out of this island

3. Too many Russians. Like foreal, if I didn’t know better I’d think this place is a Russian colony or some shyt. and it’s not just tourists either. they own multiple businesses, hotels, stores, properties etc

4. Bunch of old cacs with young black girls under their arms

5. Didn’t like local food. Luckily me and my girl found a jamaican place where they do shyt like grilled chicken and shyt

6. Met this black OG from England. He’s been living here for 15 years. He’s a chemistry professor at a private school and said he only teaches rich kids and he teaches in English. Said the level of public education here is pretty poor so private schools make a killing and have a demand for foreign teachers. Said the school pays for everything and that he literally doesn’t have to spend his salary for nothing, just been stacking money for 15 years. “It’s a easy life here”. School got him a beach front property and he gets a paid flight for him and his wife to whatever destination once a year. Said the island has changed a lot in recent years infrastructure wise and that the Russians are buying everything. Dude said that even if you speak/understand Spanish, always reply in English because “it goes your way. They treat you a 1000 times better. especially if you black, because they assume you’re Haitian if you don’t speak English”. Dude said he been here for so long and he hasn’t spoken more than two sentences in Spanish.

7. Saw a lot of land and property for sale

8. Majority of the brehs here seem to have a bike and their hustle is to use it as “mototaxi”

I don’t understand this. I know more Haitian diasporans that do better than Dominican diasporans. All of the Haitians I know are white collar and upscale. The Dominicans work service sector jobs and are blue collar. Like Dominicans are not even seeing Haitians in terms of success in the States. But that could also just be my area.

I’ve met a lot of diasporans who look down on Haitians. Colombians look down on them also

I live in NYC and never seen an Arab or Korean look down on Haitians. If anything those groups look down on African americans first and then you have West Indian c00ns who might feel special about it.

West Indians and African American relations in NYC have greatly improved. Nowadays the Haitian kids are the biggest bullies in junior and high school out here.
