I still say they get to Abby in the theatre..I wonder how many tv-only viewers will pick up on the "Ellie is a liar" bit and connect it with her saying the last time she spoke to Joel was the NYE "fight".
Craig Mazin out here making me feel bad about these deviant SeraphitesI wonder how long they are going to take to make people realize there are no "good sides" in TLOU world (wel,, except Jackson I guess). When people see them cruficing and gutting people for ther Prophet...
For a second there I wondered if they were going to throw away the Dina pregnancy story, but they are certainly going with it. I hope they are able to execute it well enough.
I'm really curious as to when they place the season finale. From the trailers we know Ellie gets to Nora, maybe it ends with a post-torture, trembling Ellie saying she knows were Abby is?![]()
Thing is, if they get to Abby at the theater, do we even get Abby's POV for season 3? I don't think most TV watchers will give a fukk about her journey by that point. Having to wait another 2 years and spending half the season with Abby's struggle after she shot up Tommy and left Ellie and Dina all fukked up would get more backlash than the gameI still say they get to Abby in the theatre..
Trailers often only touch like half a season in the beginning
Yeah, it seems Mazin decided to leave Tommy out of the revenge vortex of the story (he doesn't hint that it's a swerve in the podcast either). Which is a pretty big decision, though I kinda appreciate it because I did not need Tommy to end up the bitter, miserable old man he becameDid I miss something. Did they show Tommy go out to seek his own revenge too? In playing the game one of the scenes that showed how Ellie was lost in bloodlust was when she has to make a choice between going with Jesse to save Tommy or to continue pursuing Abby. That's one of my only complaints if they deviate from the game and remove that choice.
It kinda feels like they following the game's narrative and timeline jumping and I gotta say, I don't think the TV audience is gonna feel satisfied to watch Abby's POV in the 3rd season if the two things they saw her do this season was kill Joel savagely and then show up in the theater and fukk Ellie and Dina up (and maybe kill Jesse if he shows up in the last 2 eps)
Mazin got his work cut out for him on that one, they better cast the most lovable Lev in the world to make Abby redeemable
Remind me breh, what was Joel's first flashback in the game and what triggered it? do we get it next ep or on ep.6?@Gizmo_Duck
Yeah I thought they needed a few scenes of them mid-combat showing the pregnancy slowing them down or putting them in harm's way so that it makes sense that Ellie leaves her behind for a while. I hope they don't remove the Jessie influence on the story. As much as I love the show I hate that the Tommy factor hasn't been introduced yet where Ellie is thinking of going home but at minimum wants to have Tommy's back and save him. Add in Tommy being the one convincing her to leave back the final time to seek revenge for him.I wonder if Jesse is going to actually catch up with them..
The way they handled the pregnancy thing means Dina isn't getting left behind like in the game
Yeah, this last episode the lack of Tommy felt huge to me because the motivation for Ellie to go through a gang war of Wolves vs Scars just to exact revenge doesn't really feel earned yet. If Tommy was in the middle of it all it would make much more sense for Ellie to stay in Seattle and keep going through this quest. Right now, as a TV watcher, I feel like she should go back to Jackson with Dina fukk this demonic war that's going on in that cityYeah I thought they needed a few scenes of them mid-combat showing the pregnancy slowing them down or putting them in harm's way so that it makes sense that Ellie leaves her behind for a while.
