Having a bad defense can boost passing stats friends. a team gets down big and/or the coach doesnt have confidence in the D and they usually start flinging the ball around, especially without an elite RB. Seahawks tend to get out in front fast in wins and if they lose, they lose a close game.
Russ Rookie Year: 6 losses including playoffs. Margins: 4, 6, 7, 4, 3, 2
2nd year: 3 losses including playoffs. Margins: 6, 2, 7
This year: 2 losses. Margins: 9, 7
The team hasn't lost by double digits once since he has been starter. They tend to get out big and run the ball. No garbage time yards and TDs, very rarely ever down big with a ton of pass plays called. Cam and Kaep historically have had similar situations and they have similar passing stats...not to mention tough schedules in the NFC..and in that time period..Kaep and Russ have had to play in the best defensive division in the NFL. That's 6 games a year.
Luck's first year was coming off a 2-14 year..granting him one of the easiest schedules in the league. They had a negative differential in points that year and he had Arians who has turned Carson Palmer into a good QB again and has won games with Drew Stanton. They allowed 24 ppg and Vick Ballard was their leading rusher. One game that year they lost 35-9 to the would be 6-10 Jets. Sanchez had 80 yards passing and won.. Luck had 280 yards and 2 picks on 44 attempts. They lost 59-24 vs the Pats...Luck had 334 yards, 2 TDs and 3 INTs on 50 attempts.
2013: Colts lose 38-8 at home to St.Louis. Luck gets 353 yards 1 TD, 3 INTs 47 passing attempts. That was his highest yard total of the year. In a 30 pt loss that got the Colts 8 points. They lost by 14 to the Bengals that year..They started out down 21-0, with no IND pts in the first half. Luck ended up with 326 yards and 4 TDs on 46 attempts. When they beat Seattle he only had 229 yards passing with 73 coming on that famed completion to Hilton. He was obviously more valuable in that win than the St.Louis blow-out loss but the season total stats can be misleading since in that blow-out loss he had 124 more yards passing.
Now..if you want to look past the stats, team-makeup and game-planning/play-calling and just look at overall ability to make plays happen, different types of throws that can be made etc..you can't put Wilson in a Dilfer type category. It's absurd and Im pretty sure Dilfer himself would tell you that. You also can't say Luck is better by far than Kaep, Cam or Russ. If I had to draft one of the 4, Id take Luck absolutely...but it's not based on his stats. Luck's stats have been and will tend to continue to look better in losses than Kaep/Cam/Russ'. Thats based on their teams primarily..their ability secondarily (more often than not).
Russ is a SB winner, Kaep has proven to be a winner and so has Cam, especially with what he has had to work with on offense in Carolina. Russ had a terrible game and so does nearly every other QB in the league. All of them are young and need to be given time before ranking them definitively. They all have been winners in the league, all with varying team structure and play-calling. Stop the bullshyt.
Which posts are most biased with Russ? U comparing him to McCarren and Dilfer or that post that I made? In fact..look at Emp in that prolific thread:

If you arent him..you two are soul mates.

LastEmp:
As of 2014
1. Aaron Rodgers
2. Peyton Manning
3. Tom Brady
4. Drew Brees
5. Andrew Luck
6. Phillip Rivers
7. Ben Rothlisberger
8. Nick Foles
9. Eli Manning
10. Russel Wilson
Similar characters on the list u made. U just dropped Foles and Eli and added Flacco, Ryan and Stafford. Diversifying your troll game I see (not to mention your AVI used to be the LeBron troll face.

To me Foles isn't an abberation, being 27/2 tells you this kid is as legit as can be, I debated putting him higher but he only got the year of experience.
Ben is a SB winner and still one of the better QB's in the game, he still put up good numbers in a down year and the way he plays the game out of the pocket and on the move, to me he's still a top 10 guy
Eli, say what you want, he could win a SB this year and I Wouldn't be surprised. No one in this league can turn it on like Eli Manning can when the chips are on the table. He plays best when his defense does so as well, but he's more clutch than any QB in the NFL. That's something you can't teach. no matter how inconsistent he's a HOF QB and deserves to be placed in the top 10
U love your sample sizes eh? And Eli one above Russ and both u and Emp say Russ is essentially as good as his defense is.I may have buried Brady a bit prematurely in that thread
