Each day, I wonder why I got back into making beats because sampling seems like a dying art form, but this truly reminds me of how powerful such an art really is.The fact that this man was just eating some leftover stale burritoes, channel surfed and found an old Cab Calloway clip and went:
Reminds me of when Madlib went to Brazil and found a vinyl full of grits and just freaked the hell out of the SP303

He doesn't just use it and loop it, he messes with the key and pitch to make is something new which is dope too

I always wanted to get into beat making and producing just for fun.

I always heard the equipment is expensive though
Man the respect I have for cats that can do this type shyt well.
I mean it's not all about the equipment but creativity.
There's beat makers that just use FL studios. Hell, Madlib made most of his tracks on a iPad. Right now, I'm just using a SP404 with Audacity and Reaper on a crappy laptop.
It's all in the creative nature. If you have a musical passion, you can make anything out of anything.
