Cable Vision-Optimum been treating a breh real good.
Yeah the homie is from Europe and posted his speed once, think it was some insane shyt like 900 down

Dont get how we the "technology leaders of the world" but we probably dead last in internet as far as developed countries go.. We supposed to be a "capitalism" country, but I feel pretty fukking restricted as far as internet goes.. How can companies block another company from setting up shop and letting the consumers make the choice of what they want ? That sounds pretty fukking monopoly/communist to me

Jeez, y'all speeds are terrible. 
But in all honesty, mine is super duper only because I'm on optic fiber in a not to small city. Most people in France are on DSL which speed is like 10 times slower than mine (this is 100/50 something like that which is already good). And those in the country or in little towns have shytty speeds.
In the very Paris, some have crazy speeds like 2000/1000 which puts mine to shame.
And from what I understand, you guys don't really have a choice for your provider because the city you live in is kinda owned by one provider right ? In France, we have the choice between 5 provider options for DSL/cable : Numericable is cable/fiber ; Free, Orange, SFR and Bouygues are DSL/fiber. For DSL it's to each is own, the provider comes to your home and sets it, then depending on your distance from the "antenna" the speed is more or less fast. For fiber/cable, it's different because usually, the provider does a whole town/city then "share" the installations if the client chooses another provider, if he can because mostly for fiber you have to go with the provider who did the install.
And with the provider offers TV/Internet/Telephone which we call "triple-play" and that's more or less 35€ (50$) depending on the provider and that is for unlimited TV (there are options), internet (no data limit) and calls (with the ability to call to two dozens countries with no price rise). Now, you have some kind of quadruple play which consists in triple-play + mobile which is around 50€ a month. Dunno about the data cap but it's like 1 to 3GB a month IIRC (if one doesn't use wifi obviously).

Yeah choices are extremely limited and ontop of that the two biggest cable companies in the country want to merge, and I wont even get into how terrible are mobile plans are....and then there's the healthcare system....man...
