If he throws a pick or two in preseason, Cleveland fans and Manziel sycophants should be worried. This is the NFL after all. He won't be able to run away from secondaries. He'll have to stay in the pocket, make reads and throw the ball.

3 picks in OTA's is newsworthy? Dude is a rookie and learning, I'm not a fan of manziel but still this is a non issue!

We'll see. Most QBs who play out of the spread in college need to spend time learning pro style in the NFL. That's what Nick Foles did. But he also had underrated arm strength, size and pocket presence. In truth Foles is elite to near elite in these areas. Even in the spread Foles displayed pro style attributes that often translate to the pro game. Manziel meanwhile has questions about his arm and pocket presence (under duress).

Hoyer struggled yesterday to for the record.

The receivers have not been able to get separation from Haden, Skrine, and Gilbert.

Take that for what it's worth.
they might as well get used it, thats whats gonna happen when the bullets start flying

So I looked up whether Hoyer actually struggled in the Browns' last OTA. Turns out he didn't:

  • Let’s start with Brian Hoyer . He looked fantastic on Tuesday. Hoyer’s timing and rhythm with the offense was totally in sync. Slant passes were crisp. Out routes were right on target. Hoyer even had a bootleg rolling to the left, generally the more awkward throw, and he made it the pass look like a piece of cake.

Breh, I was literally listening to the Browns official podcast when I wrote that. Hoyer and Manziel both struggled at times in the first two groups and did better in the final group.

You can listen to it for yourself.

Those CB's are legit, those Wr's without Gordon :scusthov: Glad it was Johnny and not Teddy.
