The good news is that the FBA person can come back after getting in touch with a US embassy and provide the proper documentation to the authorities. They can then proceed to come back home and eventually sue if they endured any physical or emotional distress during their deportation, which would likely be traumatizing and they'd certainly win.
Can't say the same for illegal immigrants who have no paperwork or documentation.
