but I live here in North Raleigh and have spent plenty of time in Durham.
Hispanics here are the same as anywhere else. They not the majority or plurality group here, so you see less boldness that you get in areas they are the dominant group. They are mostly integrated with black communities here, and while they are generally cool with black people here, work settings can reveal some tension.
They aren't the dominant group here so that kinda tension is mostly always passive and individualized. But plenty of people here know alot of them deal with us because they want to, and alot of them deal with us because they have to.
They ain't no different than Hispanics nowhere else, the only difference is that in most cities outside most of the Southeast and Midwest, Hispanics are the largest minority group or in some cases the majority group period. That difference plays a huge part in how they relate with people here and how they move around, but on a personal level, the same kinda Hispanics in other areas are here too.
