I said that several years ago that baby showers and gender reveal parties basically the last big celebrations of the modern black relationship, before the harsh realities of accountability and responsibility of raising an OoW baby. If the father not living in the same household as the child, he is basically a sperms donor that is a borderline stranger. The kids gym teacher and art teacher sees them more than 4 to 8 times a month.
