A lot of the new female rappers want to rely on selling sex and making thot rap music when their fanbase will only be women and gay men. The sex they are selling isn’t just to make themselves feel good but to also appeal to straight male rap fans who are largely not checking for them as a collective, at least musically.

Doja has her fair share of sex music (which is majority of her music), but she's always been more creative with it. Writing melodic hooks instead of endless verses talkng about riding D or licking up coochie, that nobody will remember.

Female rappers do not make make sex music to appeal to men at all,
i can promise you that much. Female rappers that care to appeal to men most of the time are on that "respect will help you prevail" bullshyt. If you have women and gay men popping your shyt and you're hard, eventually you'll have sold out shows, sold out merch, people that actually care about streaming and getting your numbers up. Female fan bases are not to be understimated.
