Lauryn Hill, 41, and Rohan Marley have a lot to celebrate: their eldest son, Zion, is a new father.
Marley announced the happy news Sunday sharing several photos of the newborn baby born, named Zephaniah Nesta.
"JAH RASTAFARI MORNING," Marley captioned a Twitter photo of Zion holding the baby. "In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem, Fear thou not: and to Zion, Let not thine hands be slack."
The former football player and son of reggae artist Bob Marley then posted a picture of him smiling broadly at the camera with his grandson in his arms.
"JAH BLESSINGS WE GIVE THANKS FOR LIFE Welcome to Earth Little Zephaniah Nesta #ZionMarley #Joyofmyworld #MARLEYBOYS #LIONORDER," he tweeted.
Zion confirmed the birth posting a
close-up picture of the baby and welcoming the newborn "to the light."
The new dad also took some time to thank his girlfriend for being a "super strong woman."
"Thank you for bearing him and putting up w everything I put you thru,"
he wrote. "Idk how you do it but you deserve all the love and respect.. you are a WARRIOR bringing in little 'Zeph Curry' #LIFE #LOVE."
Hill, who penned the song "To Zion" after her son, hasn't commented on the birth.
