its crazy how nikkas always make up random shyt. the lawsuit was over production credits....PRODUCTION credits...and a couple of hooks.....but clowns like you LIKE ALWAYS turn it into more it is and exagerrate the story. first of all its ironic now we consider her a singer but at the time when she came out with the album remember she was mainly known as the solo rapper and for singing "killing me softly"...
even though the people who worked on the album claimed she didn't give them credit and all this shyt...anybody who has that album knows she clearly gave credit to them in the album booklet and the thank yous. the main issue as always was money...she didn't pay them what she was supposed to. that was the issue. not that i'm condoning that shyt at all but get the shyt correct nikka.
i know the album didn't have tons of rap verses but they didn't write those for her..she wrote her own raps...as few as it was on that solo album. she wasn't drake. but she got unfairly criticized for putting the "Executive Producer Lauryn Hill" shyt which kind of was unfair for her because we know dozens of rappers have done that....
she wrote all the songs herself and got help on "everything is everything" "miseducation of lauryn hill"(the least popular track :dead
and "superstar" that was the main writing contributions the trio who sued her for did along with the production credits.
It really amazes and disgusts me all the time how nikkas continue to skip through shyt and never READ and RESEARCH....just parrot shyt they heard on gossip sites and LSA./

breh ive seen that a million times also...places like the library of congress has the official records of copywritten work and doesn't fukk up with shyt like this. they said primary songwriters because they know thats what producers are listed as alot especially in rap...
look at over 50 rap albums and you will see Premo...Timbaland....Dre....etc listed as "songwriters". The key shyt your missing out....look at the phrase you bolded....notice they said TWO TRACKS just like i told you and then it says "major contributors on six others"? why not say primary songwriters on the other supposed "six others"? They instead said "major contributors"...because they are talking about production....Of course your a major contributor if you produced the songs. Thats like saying Dre was a major contributor on Doggystyle. Its not like she didn't list them...even in the original booklets...LOOK at them breh. What was that song where she said "Lauryn Hill....from New-Ark to Israel? Its a double entendre she was even shouting them out its not like she purposely was pretending they didn't do shyt. In the same section where she was thanking Primo, Common, Mary J Blige,etc for the album she thanked them...I honestly believe it is because whether we love or hate her in modern times the average person considers her a singer so they use this against her...Its not like rap where its forbidden to have your shyt cowritten if your supposed to be an emcee...its singing
