The Coli told me he is a poor mans Klay , shame that Lavar cost him a shot

LaVar didn’t cost him shyt tho. Back in HS, LaVar put them all together and that started the media attention. The UCLA situation was a package deal to get Lonzo on board (and Melo to a lesser degree) but Gelo could’ve gone ANYWHERE else. He made a mistake in China but playing in Lithuania was wayyyyy more than he would’ve gotten in his first year with the Bruins. Wasn’t like he was a starter.

Bottom line is the talent pool is deeper than we think. Anyone who believes LaVar is fukking shyt up for his kids is insane. Who the fukk wouldn’t want a dad actively in their lives, has $$$ to fund their ambitions (and his own) and find a way to get the media/scouts/public to focus on his kids.

Outside of kids that have a remarkable talent or aptitude, do you really think a lot of parents are going all out like LaVar does?

I think people take this dislike for him and translates it into opportunities for his kids/familiy somehow being diminished when we’ve seen all 3 sons get better as players and breh is literally creating jobs for people around him instead of waiting for that draft night check to cash (like 99.9% of these families of players). let’s keep it 100, BBB was around wayy before last year and breh stuck with it. Wasn’t like his kids said “let’s start a company”. He did that.

IMAGINE LAVAR ANTICS WHEN GELO DOESNT SEE THE COURT

MAGIC TRYNA AVOID THAT FIASCO

I STILL THINK GELO IS GOOD ENOUGH TO BE THE 12TH MAN OFF SOME1’S BENCH, AT THE VERY LEAST
breh he not even good enough to be the 12th man on the summer league team apparently
If the Lakers wweren't willing to take all 3 brothers, then they should've have drafted Lonzo in the first place.
:what:
nikka shot 23% from three playing against Borats cousin. He’s fukkjng trash. Compound that with Lavar and no team wants to deal with that

Nobody ever considered this nikka to be NBA worthy until a couple months ago when people bought into hype for no reason.

It was always Lonzo and Melo with LiAngelo being a bum. The other two are most likely the only reason UCLA took him to begin with.

:bryan:

We get to go thru all of this again when Melo dont make it in the league either:bryan:

I do think he makes it to the NBA. How good he'll be? I don't think he'll be an All-Star. But, at this point, everybody is speculating.

That JBA shyt ain't gon' help. There ain't a single NBA prospect in the entire league, I don't think. Some of these dudes don't even have a HS prospect profile. How? Lavar had to do some dumpster diving to fill out them rosters.

The worry with Melo at this point is that he seems very immature and the lack of real coaching ain't going to help. At least he would have had a year of that at UCLA, but now he's stuck under LaVar 24/7 in the JBA.

The second lavar took him outta highschool, he ruined any chance of a career for him. Unfortunately
