I understand exactly how sponsorship works, but you clearly don't. Sponsors have damn near complete control over their clients. If this site were to take a company like pornhub on as a sponsor then this site would be beholden to pornhub meaning, that they would have to operate in compliance with pornhub or risk having that sponsorship taken away. Bill oreilly was finally fired after people started targeting the sponsors of his show. Once his sponsors felt the pressure from the public they pulled the plug on his show. That's how powerful sponsors are and targeting sponsors is how all effective boycotts work.

When they were trying to ban rap in the early 90s, they went after the labels and the companies who sponsor the labels because they understood that those sponsors ultimately had complete control over the rappers. It's the reason that people serious about boycotting the NFL are looking into going after their sponsors. Again, If you have a sponsor then you're beholden to them. You don't take on a sponsor unless you need one. I don't even know what you were trying to get at with that nonsensical "you wouldn't tell the coli to start it's own porn site" analogy. This site has ads because it's needs the revenue. If the companies paying for ads that this site depends on started to voice a problem with the content then guess what?
