The problem I have with this thought, is lavar being his father makes people say he living through his son, don't be so involved etc

Nothing wrong with that. It could very well be the case that Lonzo is appreciative of his parents sacrifices they made (or didn't make) and want to take care of them and put them up. That's normal. And no one is going to call you on that. But running around like he is just looks corny to me.
