For the first time in his career he really has no way to rebut anything a critic has said about him. He clearly "threatened" CTG the same way he claims Ball did and knows he's backed himself into a corner without becoming a hypocrite.
The whole response comes off as awkward. He pretty much is claiming he is only taking shots at these black athletes because no one else with clout who is black is doing it, but what black athletes even recognize him as a legit reporter?
He should've just initially admitted again he was defending a coworker and friend and is biased in his reasoning for defending Leahy over Ball for obvious reasons.

He'd been better off with bold but him and Colin who like to talk about the "left" don't have a leg to stand on even using that excuse on this topic.
