I understand Lavar's point about not looking for a pat on the back or hank you when you do a good deed. Im not sure what Trump did exactly to help the kids. But I don't think Lavar has those type of connections to get his kid out of China. BBB is not that big of a brand. Gelo and the other students could easily still be in China.

It's not Lavar with the connections it's UCLA. UCLA is big time in China. And the Alibaba CEO helped too which im sure doesn't hurt. I think Lavar put up the cheese to bail his son out though

Lavar dont need those connections. The owner of Alibaba is the one who put the game together, UCLA has damn near a pipeline of students straight from China, among other things there were numerous reasons the Chinese were not going to lock these 3 kids away in a prison for 10 years. Trump inserting himself into the situation did nothing. They were already on supposed house arrest (really they had free roam of the city) before Trump even met with the Chinese president. Thats what Lavar was saying, tell me exactly what Trump did to help the situation and ill thank him but im not going to thank him because he inserted himself into a situation he didnt need to. fukk thanking Trump, like everything else he only inserted himself into the situation for selfish reasons and if Lavar thanked him Trump would use that shyt for his own gain.

If Trump has that much pull why isnt he helping Wendell Brown or any other Americans locked away in China?
