Except Lavar didn't say anything about his mom dying.
All he said was Kyrie aint grow up in a household with his mother and father.

Look, I'll admit the shyt came off as crude.
But if you're gonna comment on another man's family and his relationship with his son...then you can't claim out of bounds when the shyt is done in return.

To Kyrie's credit...I didn't see anything that says Kyrie responded to Lavar's comments so I'm not saying Kyrie is even upset about it.

Because she died . There is no reason to even go there. There is no point to be made with that. Commenting on man's family (who constantly puts his family dynamic out there) is not grounds for making light of/minimizing the death of another man's parent.
