Kyrie didn't say anything about Lonzo's mom. He didn't say anything disrespectful.
Kyrie's father was a constant presence in his life, so it's not like he comes from a broken dysfunctional home and doesn't understand what a good home life is like. If anything, the loss of his mother at such a young age would make him appreciate and understand the father-son relationship more, yet he still understands that at a certain point a father has to take a step back and let his son be a man, which I don't know if there's ever been a more blatant example of a father needing to fall the fukk back and let his son be his own man than this Lavar/Lonzo situation.
What makes this so disrespectful, also just immature and outlandish, is Lavar went out of his way to mention how Kyrie's mother wasn't in his life as if his mother was a deadbeat who left the family or that his mother's absence is somehow relevant to Kyrie's comments. It's a slap in the face and it's nonsensical. In what way is Kyrie's mother's absence relevant to this topic? Kyrie had no choice in the matter, his mother had no choice in the matter and it is in NO WAY related to Kyrie saying Lavar will have to let go of his son, a grown man, when he enters the NBA.
Lavar has officially crossed the line where someone should be sending some goons his way to let him know he can't keep speaking on grown men in public/to the media however he pleases, especially when it comes to people's parents, and ESPECIALLY if that parent (his mother at that) is dead.
God forbid if my mother was dead, and another grown man mentioned her and it wasn't in prayer or to express condolences to me and my family, there's no telling how violent I'd get. There are certain topics that any grown man with any bit of respect knows are off limits, and speaking on another person's mother, let alone one who passed away, is right at the very top of that list.

Anyone caping for Lavar in any way, shape or form in here is exposing themselves as a lame and a fraud. Speaking on another man's mother, let alone one who passed away, is strictly off limits.
