I just watched Stabler's last episode before Chris Meloni left the show. I always found it amusing during the shoot out in the police station that Ice T managed to stay on the phone the entire time.

He's said that he's open to returning, but I don't think he misses the show all that much and he holds some kind of resentment toward it. He was on a talk show recently, and was asked "Do you miss the show?" and without skipping a beat, he said "Not for a day." He always says negotiations fell through, but I've always felt like there was more to the story.
