not a fan of SVU, but I have seen hundreds of episodes cuz the wife watches this religously, and it seems to be on 24/7.

that being said, mariska hartigay (benson) is the highest paid TV actress out. and has been for a while (stabler was getting money too).

I doubt she wants to leave the show altogether and throw away that big ass check. maybe they let her appear every other episode like law and order criminal intent did with detective goren (vincent d'onfrio)

I think that dude kidnapping her at the beginning of the season made her "edgy".

I think it made her want to shoot nikkas now. I remember one of the early seasons she had to shoot someone and she was shook for a couple of episodes... now she like fukk it now.

They need to retool the show and bring in new characters. Since Stabler left the cast chemistry has suffered. As far as I've heard it's still a ratings juggernaut but they need some fresh faces because Benson and Ice T both looking Out there ..
